Client: Internal Brief – Arts University Bournemouth
Project: Nature-Inspired Glassware Collection
Year: 2024
Brief:
As part of a university-led initiative to strengthen our portfolios and explore future career pathways, we were tasked with identifying a personal skill focus and developing a self-directed project. I chose to expand my capabilities in CAD and 3D product design, using natural textures as inspiration for a range of conceptual glassware.
Outcome:
The final outcome was a cohesive glassware collection that translates organic textures into contemporary product forms. I experimented with bump mapping, 3D modelling, rendering, and product sketching to bring these designs to life—resulting in a refined and tactile visual language. This project strengthened my digital design workflow and added depth to my product-based portfolio.
Role:
Concept development, CAD modelling, surface experimentation, rendering, and visual presentation.
